Battle of Nantwich 2018

For over 40 years the faithful troops of The Sealed Knot have gathered in the historic town of Nantwich, Cheshire to re-enact the battle that took place in 1644, marking the end of the siege of the town during the English Civil War.

The impressive Soldiers Parade commences from Malbank School at 12:45 reaching the town center from 1pm and is followed by a wreath laying ceremony at 1:15 then the soldiers’ march to Mill Island a 1:30 ere the battle :re-enactment commences at 2pm.

Access to Mill Island to view the event costs £5 per family, £2 per adult and £1 per child (15 or under).

1.40pm – Troops arrive

1.50pm – Artillery Demo (BIG BANGS!)

2.00pm – Battle reenactment begins
