Latest: Middlewich Road Closure

Middlewich Road in Crewe from the A530 Roundabout to the Coppenhall Lane Roundabout will be closed in both directions for several weeks.

The alternative route will be via the following streets: – A530 Roundabout, Nantwich By Pass, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Nantwich Bypass, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Shavington Bypass, Rope Lane, Shavington Bypass Roundabout, Crotia Mill Road, Crewe Green Link Roundabout, David Whitby Way, Savoy Road Weston Road Roundabout, Weston Road, Macon Way, Hungerford Road Roundabout, Manchester Bridge, Earle Street Roundabout, Earle Street, Vernon Way, Vernon Way Roundabout, Oak Street, Wistaston Road, Dunwoody Way, West Street, Coppenhall Lane

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times.

Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The closure is necessary to enable Cheshire East Highways to carry out works to repair consequential damage following a water burst It is anticipated that the works will take place on the following date(s): Thursday 20th July 2017 to 9th August 2017 24 hours a day.

This notice will become operative on Thursday 20th July 2017 for a period of 21 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed, and may be extended by a further 21 days if necessary.
