Nantwich Town Council have released details of the town’s lights switch on event, which will include two 2016 Olympians.
Nantwich trampolinist Bryony Page and wheelchair racer Andrew Small, also from the town, will join singer Thea Gilmore to officially start the Christmas celebrations in Nantwich.
Bryony, 25, sprung to success this year in Rio scooping a silver medal, the first ever British trampolining medal, when her routine scored 56.040.
Bringing home a bronze medal, 23 year old, Andrew also gained his personal best 17.96 seconds, in the mens T33 100m final.
Last year’s event was a big success with thousands flocking into the town to see the switch-on and this year’s event, taking place on Saturday 19th November, looks to be bigger than ever.
Nantwich town square will host a packed programme of entertainment running from 4pm, including performances from local talents Josh Whittaker and Callum Wright.
Nantwich Young Voices will also lead into the big switch-on, followed by a musical firework spectacular from Blitz Fireworks at 5.30pm.
And if that wasn’t enough there’ll also be food, treats, fairground rides and photo opportunities with Santa’s Polka Dot Pirate – this years festive family performance at Nantwich Civic Hall.
