The premises, which has been in the Morris family for more than 100 years, was undergoing a renovation when pharmacy owner Raj Patel MBE (CEO, Hollowood Chemists) came up with the idea of using the space for vaccinations. Raj is the best friend of Roger Morris (Managing Director, Crewe Honda Centre).

The site was approved by NHS England and the local NHS commissioning group and can facilitate up to 1,200 jabs a week.

Roger Morris has declined to take any rental payment for the site as a gesture to help the local community in the fight against the pandemic.

Roger Morris and Jainil Patel (Clinical Lead, Hollowood Vaccination Centre) were interviewed at the West Street premises by ‘ITV Granada Reports’ for an evening regional news bulletin.
