Crewe Photographic Society is looking for Photographers

Crewe Photographic Society is celebrating its 75th season this year and is doing so in style with a superb programme of talks and demonstrations. It is starting on 16th September with an introductory evening and it is all happening online at the moment.

‘Dawn Boat Trip’ Crewe Photographic Society ‘Photograph of the Year’ (Stephen Coyne)

The Zoom presentations include Will Stead talking about photographing concerts and award winning astro photographer David Tolliday is showing everyone how to make images of the night sky.  As well as this, there are talks on landscape, sports photography and photo poker.

Our highly acclaimed member, Ian Whitson will tell us the stories behind many of his award winning photographs in his talk on the National Parks of Kenya. We’ll also have the chance to view and discuss the best of the country’s photographs in travelling folios.  The interesting and varied programme also includes, competitions and the ever popular members’ meetings where members can discuss their work and learn from more experienced members.

The start of the season is a good time to join the Society and you can attend three meetings for free before deciding on a permanent membership. For more information about our programme, please see the Society’s website, on Twitter @crewephotosoc, Instagram  or Facebook. You can also email Crewe Photographic Society at webmaster@crewephotosoc.com.
