This season will be the first season the Dabbers have ever fielded a female squad, the team will play in the Cheshire Women’s League and have recruited players from clubs like Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stoke City and neighbours Crewe Alexandra.
Chris Broad is heading up the female football team at the Dabbers this season, he said “The Ladies team has a great mixture of youth and league experience and I am really excited about being involved with the first ever Nantwich Town Ladies team to play in the Cheshire Women’s League.”

Unfortunately this season the Ladies team missed the deadline for the FA Cup, however, next season they are excited about giving Nantwich two teams to support, starting in the Preliminary rounds.
As well as the adult Ladies XI, Nantwich Town Ladies are also looking to develop a youth system at the club, with the Youth Team to feature in the Cheshire Women’s Youth League. The Youth Team is made up of players aged 16-18 and already there is some promising talent in the squad who are capable of stepping up to the first team.
The Catering Butcher (H.H. Jackson Ltd) and The Talbot Pub in Nantwich have already given sponsorship to the team and the team are welcoming and thankful for any other businesses that are open to sponsorship.
