Nantwich Town ran out 2-1 winners of the inaugural Eddie Morris Memorial Trophy against Whitchurch Alport FC.
The match is set to become an annual pre-season fixture against Alport.
The late Eddie Morris – a historic Dabber whose playing career featured Crewe Alexandra, Congleton Town and Witton Albion has had the cup commemorated in his honour. After his playing career ended he took up management at Whitchurch Alport with great success, guiding them to the Mid-Cheshire League and Shropshire Amateur Cup double in 1969/1970.
