There were numerous ghoulishly good Halloween get-ups including skeletons, ghosts, witches, pumpkins, Dracula, Beetlejuice, spiders and even a Werewolf!

If required, hi-vis straps were worn over the costumes and headlamps used to stay safe and seen in the dark.

Nantwich Running Club was launched in March this year by Willaston runner Mike Stevens and already have over 300 members.

The club meets at Nantwich Town Football Club and members train in small groups of 10 people for up to sixty minutes every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6.30pm.

There are ten chatty pace groups, each supported by a Run Leader, who follows an organised route ranging in distance from three to seven miles each session.

In their first few months as a club, they have had nearly 4,000 individual member running sessions.

Collectively the members have covered nearly 21,000 miles on club training sessions.

The club offers people new to running in groups the opportunity to join two free taster sessions before deciding to join.

Mike Stevens, Founder of Nantwich Running Club, said: “Everyone really got into the “spirit” of the Nantwich Running Club Halloween Spooktacular Run. There were some amazing costumes with members going to great lengths to make it a fun event for all.”
