There were dozens of scarecrows produced by residents and businesses to be enjoyed by the public, with either a Royal theme or an event over the past seventy years.

The trail was organised by Haslington Support Group – a voluntary group, formed in mid-March 2020 – with volunteers who help local people with shopping, collect prescriptions, transport for medical appointments, providing emergency food, and clothing where possible, a listening ear in times of trouble or trauma with the aim of directing the client to the correct help/advice needed.
