Local business ‘Sports Coaching Group’, based in Sandbach, have set themselves the mammoth task of completing 10 million steps to raise money during the second lockdown for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
George Raiswell (Early Year’s Lead Coach) said “During the first lockdown, as a team we managed 1000km running and 2000km cycling and raised over £800 for the NHS and Vision. We wanted to up our game and encourage our whole team of over 40 staff to keep active during this 2nd lockdown”.
Sports Coaching Group have been actively involved with promoting sport and fitness in primary schools across the North West for over 10 years and recognise the importance of fitness and taking care of mental wellbeing.
Managing Director, Ross Kesteven, said: “10 million steps is a huge task but the team are amazing as always and are encouraging each other, even the office staff have joined in the challenge and are walking to work to up their step count!”
