Four talented, local artists played socially distanced solo sets outside Morrisons on Station Road, Nantwich from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 5th December 2020.
The event was setup by Nantwich Morrisons Community Champion Nikki Allen and local community radio station The Cat 107.9 FM.
Dayve Dean, Callum J Wright, Oli Ng and Megan Lee all brought Christmas cheer and entertained shoppers from a Winter Wonderland adjacent to the supermarket entrance/exit.
The Winter Wonderland (usually the Morrisons garden centre) was decorated with Christmas trees, presents, and a handmade fireplace and sleigh.
The Cat also broadcast live on air from the venue.
Chris Cadman, Managing Director, The Cat community radio said: “As the local radio station we are proud to support local community groups and initiatives to help in these difficult times. We also like to shine a spotlight on fantastic local artists. We hope to have another live outside broadcast in the near future.”
The Cat is run by an army of forty volunteers with the station proving essential local listening, especially with its half-hourly Covid-19 updates. The Cat broadcasts on 107.9 FM, online, on your mobile via The Cat 107.9 app and TuneIn app, or on your smart speaker by asking for ‘Cat one hundred and seven point nine’.
