Nantwich Busy on First Saturday Since Stores Reopen

Nantwich shoppers made the most of the warm weather and go on the hunt for deals on the first Saturday (20th June 2020) since non-essential stores were reopened across England.

It came just six days after a raft of shops opened for the first time since lockdown began three months ago.

The indoor section of Nantwich Market also reopened with social distancing measures in place for the first Saturday since lockdown.

Shop safety measures in place include hand sanitiser points, floor markings for social distancing and plastic screens at tills.

inNantwich were on the town square playing upbeat music from 10am to 2pm.

Liz Parkin, community engagement consultant from inNantwich, said: “Traders reported back a good day and several people commented about the lovely atmosphere.”
