The club meets at Nantwich Town Football Club and members train in small groups of 10 people for up to sixty minutes every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6.30pm.

There are ten chatty pace groups, each supported by a Run Leader, who follows an organised route ranging in distance from three to seven miles each session.

In their first six months as a club, they have had nearly 4,000 individual member running sessions.

Collectively the members have covered nearly 21,000 miles on club training sessions.

The club offers people new to running in groups the opportunity to join two free taster sessions before deciding to join.

In the coming weeks Nantwich Running Club members are participating in a Halloween Run, and the Angela Twiss Timeless 5k and 10k (involving around 90 members) in memory of Angela Twiss – the wife of one of the club Patrons, and in December a Christmas Lights Run around Nantwich.

Mike Stevens, Founder of Nantwich Running Club, said: “Running is a great way to support your mental health, help with personal fitness and when running with others. It’s also an opportunity to have a chat and make new friends.”
