Nantwich Town FC Reserves 17 AFC Crewe 1

Nantwich Town FC Reserves beat AFC Crewe 17-1 in the First Round of the Crewe & District FA Challenge Cup match on Saturday 11th September 2021 at The Applewood Arena 3G astroturf pitch at Nantwich Town Football Club on Waterlode in Nantwich.

Nantwich Town Reserves are managed by Colin Carruthers and his assistant Chris Dawson. Colin is a Military Veteran with over 20 years’ service. He has severed in Kosovo, Iraq & Afghanistan. Since leaving the Military Colin has undergone his coaching badges and is a UEFA B outfield coach and is currently undertaking his UEFA B goalkeeper qualification. Colin Is a Wigan Athletic football fan.

Chris is an Ex Professional footballer with Bolton Wanderers whom he played for 6 years, before moving on to Kuala Lumpur FC in Malaysia for 2 years. Chris is also an ex-England & Scotland school boy International. Chris would go on to represent the Seychelles at Senior International level, playing in the African Nations and World cup Qualifiers.

Nantwich Town Reserves are looking to recruit players to add to their current squad. They play in the Cheshire League Division with games taking place on a Saturday at 2pm. Training is on Wednesday nights (8-10pm) at The Applewood Arena. The coaches are all UEFA qualified, so sessions are insightful and entertaining.
