Sing-A-Story for Sandbach

SpareParts Seeking Cheshire Residents Who Love to Sing for Digital Choir

Do you love to sing? Live in Cheshire? SpareParts want you to join them and Sing-a-Story for Sandbach.

SpareParts returns to Sandbach for 2021 with Legends, Lights and Lullabies. Following a year of COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainty for event organisers, this year’s festivities have been specially curated for residents to enjoy from their own homes.

Lullaby by Luke Jerram will see the town alive with light and song on Saturday 17 April with a specially commissioned song Sleep Now by leo&hyde created to compliment the installation.

Cheshire residents are invited to take part in the events by signing up SpareParts Digital Choir. The digital choir will form a video featuring residents from across Cheshire singing our original song Sleep Now by leo&hyde.

leo&hyde are the Manchester based musical theatre company behind Guy and The Marriage of Kim K. Their multi-award-winning work has been featured internationally, including on Sky News, USA Today, The Guardian, The i and The Sunday Times.

Singers of all abilities are encouraged to take part by submitting an online entry in video form. Closing date for submissions is 31 March, full details and how to sign up can be found at Spare Parts Festival.

Jodie says “We look forward to sharing our newly commissioned song and illustrated story, along with Lullaby, Luke Jerram’s enchanting bike parade, people-powered by the residents of Sandbach. Legends, Lights & Lullabies is a collaborative project, co-created by a host of Artists and Creatives, that I am thrilled to be producing for Sandbach.”

Legends, Lights and Lullabies comes to Sandbach on 17 April and is created in collaboration with Minerva Arts and Sandbach Transport Festival.
